Elite Wrap Co. started on a random night, twists in, durag on, controller in hand. Every few minutes I'd catch myself pulling at the fabric because it was pressing straight into my forehead. And it wasn't just annoying in the moment, I knew exactly what I'd wake up to. That pressure sitting on my skin all night meant a breakout by morning, guaranteed.

I looked at the durag and realized the problem wasn't me, it was the design. Durags are cut for hair that lays flat against the scalp. Twists, braids, locs, curls, none of that was ever accounted for, so the fabric just gets forced down onto your skin instead of sitting where it should. So I started sketching a fix: a flap sewn into the base that gives that extra volume somewhere to go instead of getting crushed against your face.

It's not a separate piece you snap on. It's stitched into the wrap, sits under the main fabric, and you push it into position instead of taking it off. That's the actual difference, a durag built around how the hair actually sits instead of ignoring it.
